Bu manifesto soruyor: Manifestolara kahramanlar mý, yoksa antikahramanlar mý can verir? Siz hangisi olabilirsiniz?

Manifesto materials: participants, a treadmill, a series of questions, a story and an explosion

This project questions the possibility of selfrealization in an increasingly mediated world. The multimedia installation places the visitor in a series of scenarios that are often found in video games, heroic moments in which taking independent action might save the day. Through its treadmillbased interactive system, however, the installation radically transforms the rules of this game, suggesting new dynamics for interaction.

Sarraf Galeyan Mekanik is a multimedia design group obsessed with telling stories and with finding multiple ways of telling stories, in particular stories that might unfold in unexpected ways over space and time. For the biennial the studio has designed a game that invites us to reflect on personal identity, everyday choices, and depictions of the “hero” in media from video games to journalism. It asks: Are manifestos enacted by heroes or antiheroes? Which one might you be?
